About

Pathfinder Project Management

A Pathfinder is someone who can find paths through unexplored territory, or, in a military sense, someone who guides others to their target or objective. These definitions, along with our motto “Clarity from Complexity”, describe our role.

We established Pathfinder in 2004 with the belief that we could improve the quality of training and the honesty and integrity in consulting.

Our Team

Our team have skills and experience in portfolio, project, programme, risk and quality management, implementing management systems and PMOs, and Radical Process Improvement using Lean Techniques. We believe this is a unique package.

Our people have worked in Europe and the UK, the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia.

Recruitment

Recruitment to date has been by invitation, but if you like what you have seen, read and heard about us and would like to join, please contact us.

Charities and NGOs

If you represent a Charity, NGO, or other organisation whose aim is to benefit others, contact us to discuss how we can support you with training and advice.

Environmental Commitment

Richard Aspden, one of the Directors of Pathfinder Project Management, was awarded an Honours degree in Environmental Science in 1979: that is many, many years before it became fashionable!

Concern for the environment is central to the Pathfinder business model. Building and expanding on the widely used waste hierarchy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle we have devised and adopted what we call the “5R” approach to minimising our environmental impact. The five Rs stand for “Reject, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Redress”. If you would like to know more about the specific measures we take to minimise our environmental impact, please read our Environmental Statement.

(We don’t think anybody else has described their approach to the environment in exactly this way, but if you like the “5R” approach, please feel free to use it. (Mentioning us when you do so would be nice though.))
